What can I say, I love music that goes mmm-chhh-mmm-chhh-mmm-chhh....

Yes, the classic sound of dance music, house, that is.  When Intellibeat began focusing on contemporary Christian music, that left a huge void.  The frustration didn't last that long.  We thought that surely someone who is making dance music knows Christ and would want to incorporate religious messages into dance music.  Sure enough, there are plenty.  Surprisingly, quite a bit of house music is spiritual, you just have to look hard for the songs!  One particular subgenre is called “Gospel House”.  Traditional church gospel music can have a fairly brisk tempo with heavy piano.  House music is similar in many ways.  The overlap is termed Gospel House.

Certainly, this is not recognized by the powers that be as a genre persay, but those who know music and especially house, are aware of the category.

A few “Gospel House” artists include DJ Spen, Jasper Street Company, Groove Junkies, Dawn Tallman, Kenny Bobien.
